When choosing between the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo Legion 7, consider the following: the Legion 5 is less expensive and includes a newer Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, which generally offers solid performance. It's slightly heavier and thicker, which affects portability. The Legion 7, while more expensive, has a larger screen with a higher aspect ratio, potentially improving productivity and gaming experiences. It has an older RTX 3070 GPU but offers a larger battery and more storage. How the Lenovo Legion 5 15" and the Lenovo Legion 7 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
"The Lenovo Legion 7 is a fast 16-inch gamer with 165 Hz display. The new Lenovo Legion 7 is a very good gaming notebook that, despite its comparatively compact compact 16-inch case, does not have to do without the most powerful components. Thanks to good cooling, no compromises are made in terms of performance. Both the Core i9-12900HX and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti perform at a very high level."
