The larger screen of the Lenovo Legion 5 17" offers a more immersive experience for gaming and productivity tasks but at the expense of increased weight and size, making it less portable than the Lenovo Legion 5 15". The 17" version might also have a slight edge in cooling due to a bigger chassis, potentially leading to better performance during heavy usage. However, if you value portability and are looking to save money, the 15" variant might be the better choice while offering similar internals and performance for everyday tasks and gaming. Keep in mind that carrying a 17" laptop can be cumbersome if you travel frequently or have a long commute. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo Legion 5 17" offers a sizable display that enhances its usability for productivity and multitasking in general use, with adequate resolution and brightness providing a clear and vibrant viewing experience. For engineering and design tasks, it features respectable color coverage that will suit professionals who need fairly accurate color representation but may fall short for those demanding top-tier color precision. However, when it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate of both the 17" and 15" models could lead to less fluid visuals, making these laptops less ideal for fast-paced or graphically intensive gaming sessions where smoothness is critical.

How the Lenovo Legion 5 17" and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 17 is a current-gen 17-inch gaming laptop and equipped with the latest AMD CPU and a powerful GPU, that manages to reach its full potential. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H is a very good choice for this laptop and able to maintain its performance level for long periods of time. Our test model only falls behind consistently in a direct comparison with its competitors that are often equipped with eight cores and 16 threads. Despite this, the Legion 5 17 leaves an excellent impression and is almost able to keep up with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU in synthetic benchmarks."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
