For general use, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 offers a superior keyboard and webcam, along with a higher quality display with better color accuracy, making it a strong choice for productivity tasks. However, it comes at a higher price point and with less storage space at 256GB compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro's 512GB. The Surface Laptop 6 also has a more powerful processor which contributes to its excellent general use performance.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, on the other hand, provides better value with a lower midrange price, more storage, and a higher resolution screen, which is great for detailed work and media consumption. It also has a more modern port selection with USB-C and Thunderbolt support, which is beneficial for connectivity and future-proofing.
When it comes to performance, the Surface Laptop 6's Intel Core Ultra 7 processor outshines the Lenovo's i5-11300H, especially for demanding tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning. However, the Lenovo's Iris Xe graphics will handle light gaming and creative work better than the integrated graphics in the Surface Laptop 6.
In terms of portability, the Surface Laptop 6 is slightly thinner and lighter, making it more convenient to carry around, although both laptops score well in this category. Battery life is comparable, with the Lenovo offering a bit more typical usage time.
Ultimately, if you prioritize performance, display quality, and a premium build for productivity and light creative work, the Surface Laptop 6 is the way to go, despite its higher cost and less storage. If you're looking for better value, more storage, and a laptop that can handle light gaming, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is a solid choice. Give Feedback

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 6 13.5" compare to other laptops
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
