The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is often significantly less expensive and more portable than the MSI Stealth GS77, making it suitable for everyday tasks, light productivity, and travel. The MSI Stealth GS77, while typically costing more, provides superior performance suitable for intensive gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. The Stealth GS77 also has a larger and more vibrant display, but this comes at the cost of reduced battery life and increased weight, which may affect its portability. If budget and portability are your primary concerns, the Slim 7i Pro is a good choice, but for high-performance needs and more professional use, the Stealth GS77 would be the better option. The MSI Stealth GS77 is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is only fair.
The MSI Stealth GS77 outperforms the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro in gaming and 3D applications largely due to its superior Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and higher screen refresh rate. While the IdeaPad's Intel Iris Xe graphics can handle gaming at modest settings, the Stealth GS77's GPU, along with its high refresh rate, offers more fluid visuals and better performance for demanding games and 3D tasks.

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is a good choice for engineering and design due to its high-resolution touchscreen, strong screen quality, and enough processing power for general design tasks, but the MSI Stealth GS77 stands out as very good in the same category because it features a more powerful CPU and GPU, which are essential for intensive engineering software, and significantly more RAM, which aids in handling complex tasks. However, the larger screen and higher performance components make the MSI Stealth GS77 less portable and it also has a shorter battery life than the Lenovo model, making it less ideal for on-the-go use.

The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant and sharp display for everyday tasks and professional design work, both the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and the MSI Stealth GS77 offer excellent resolution and brightness, ensuring crisp text and vivid images. They both cover a wide range of colors, which is important for accuracy in engineering and design applications. However, for gaming and 3D applications where motion clarity is key, the lower refresh rate on these models may result in less smooth visual experiences compared to laptops designed specifically for gaming with higher refresh rate displays.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
