If you are looking for a high-performance laptop for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering and don't mind spending more, go for the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2. However, if price is a concern and you need a laptop for general use with good portability, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro could be the right choice. The Lenovo boasts a higher refresh rate and has longer battery life, making it suitable for day-to-day tasks. For general use, both the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 have screens with high resolution and brightness, making text and images sharp and easy to view. These laptops also cover a wide range of color gamuts, rendering them suitable for engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, their screens have lower refresh rates, leading to less fluid motion and a less optimal visual experience compared to laptops with higher refresh rates.

"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
