The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is lighter and more portable with a higher resolution screen, making it ideal for general use and productivity with its quality display and ease of transport. Its integrated Iris Xe graphics are suitable for everyday tasks but not for intensive gaming or 3D applications. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is heavier and less portable, designed for gaming and performance-heavy tasks, thanks to its AMD Ryzen processor and RTX 4060 graphics card. It has a high refresh rate display beneficial for gaming but isn't as high resolution as the IdeaPad. It’s less battery efficient, but this is expected with higher performance components. If portability and battery life are your priorities for general use, go with the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro. If you need a laptop for gaming, 3D work, or other performance-intensive tasks and don't mind the extra weight and shorter battery life, the Legion 5 is the better choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is better suited for gaming and 3D tasks due to its Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics processor and a higher screen refresh rate of 165 Hz, which offers smoother visuals and better graphics performance than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, which has Intel Iris Xe graphics and a lower refresh rate of 90 Hz. Additionally, gaming often demands more from a GPU, and the RTX 4060 in the Legion 5 is a dedicated gaming-grade GPU, unlike the integrated Intel Iris Xe in the Slim 7i Pro.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is good.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design due to its higher-performing AMD Ryzen processor and Nvidia RTX GPU which are the core drivers for such tasks, whereas the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, despite having an adequate Intel CPU and integrated GPU, doesn't quite match the Legion's performance envelope for intensive tasks. Additionally, the Legion 5 offers a higher refresh rate display that could be beneficial for design work, but it is less portable and noisier than the Slim 7i Pro, which might be important considerations for some users.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a screen with high resolution and brightness, making it ideal for tasks like browsing and watching videos, while its superior color accuracy benefits professionals in engineering and design who require precise color representation. The Legion 5 15", while also offering a good screen for daily tasks and decent color coverage for creative work, falls short for gaming and 3D applications because it lacks a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth gameplay and animation. The IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro also isn't suited for gaming and 3D work due to its standard refresh rate, despite its display's sharpness and color-richness.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
