If you prioritize high-performance tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Razer Blade 15, with its more powerful processor and advanced graphics card, will better suit your needs but it comes at a higher price and offers less battery life, making it less ideal for on-the-go use. On the other hand, if you're looking for a device more suitable for general use that is lighter on the wallet, offers longer battery life, and is easy to carry around, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i with sufficient capabilities for everyday tasks would be a more appropriate choice. The Razer Blade 15 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i is only fair.
The Razer Blade 15 is considered very good for gaming and 3D because it has a high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a high refresh rate display, essential for smooth and immersive gameplay. In comparison, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i, while still fair for such tasks, has an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU which is less powerful for gaming, and a standard refresh rate screen, which means less fluid visuals in fast-paced games.

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i is good.
The Razer Blade 15 outperforms the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i in engineering and design because it has a more powerful main processor and GPU, which is crucial for resource-intensive tasks, and it also offers a higher-resolution, higher-quality display, greatly benefiting visual work. Conversely, while the IdeaPad Slim 5i offers a decent processor and GPU, its lower screen quality might be less ideal for design work, and its components are not as capable as the Razer Blade 15’s for demanding engineering applications.

The Razer Blade 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i, with its fair screen quality, may have adequate resolution and brightness for daily tasks but may lack the wide color range needed for precision in engineering and design. The Razer Blade 15, boasting a sharper and brighter display, serves engineering and design professionals well with its superior color accuracy but falls short for gaming due to a lower refresh rate. Both laptops may struggle to satisfy gamers or 3D designers who often require high refresh rates for smooth visuals and responsiveness.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i and the Razer Blade 15 compare to other laptops
"The device is made for average work loads and if your work has a lot to do with online browsing, using apps that are not power-hungry and streaming videos. The looks are really good and the device in itself is not a heavy one. And with Intel 11th-gen Core processor, you might sail through most of your work without complaints."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
