The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a budget-friendly option, generally much less expensive, but with less powerful AMD internals and standard IPS display suitable for general use. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 is more costly but comes with a stronger Intel processor, more RAM, an OLED screen with better color coverage, making it ideal for tasks requiring more power like engineering and 3D rendering. Both have similar battery life and touchscreens, but the Samsung's higher build quality and backlit keyboard might appeal to you if these features are important. If you prioritize portability and battery efficiency over performance, the Lenovo may suit you, whereas if you need a more capable machine for intensive tasks and prefer a higher quality display, you should consider investing in the Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 stands out with a high-resolution display that offers better brightness and clarity, making it easier on the eyes for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, its superior color range, covering broader spectrums like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, provides accurate color representation crucial for detailed work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short as they lack high refresh rates needed for smooth visuals, though resolution and panel type contribute moderately to overall quality.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Book3 360 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 360 isn’t a laptop that the Korean manufacturer has shouted from the rooftops about, and it seems to have gotten little attention from anywhere. But, it is absolutely a laptop worth paying attention to. Compared to higher-priced devices, like the Dell XPS 13 (2022) and Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2023), it manages to offer a similar day-to-day experience despite the price difference. It’s really hard to justify the extra cash unless a boosted display is a requirement of yours."
