If you prioritize performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Razer Blade 14 is a stronger choice with a powerful processor and high-end graphics card. Its display is better suited for creative work with higher resolution and color accuracy. However, it's more expensive and slightly heavier, which might be a consideration if portability is a concern. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is far more budget-friendly and offers decent performance for general use with an adequate screen, battery life, and lighter weight, making it a good option for everyday tasks and easier to carry around. The Razer Blade 14 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 provides adequate clarity and brightness for everyday tasks but may not offer the sharpness and vibrancy found in higher-end models; the Razer Blade 14, with its superior resolution and panel technology, delivers a much richer and more immersive visual experience. When it comes to engineering and design, the Razer stands out with its higher color accuracy and wider color gamuts, making it suitable for professionals who need precision for their work, while the Lenovo's more limited color range might not meet those specific needs. However, for gaming and 3D applications that demand quick screen refreshes, both laptops fall short as they prioritize color and resolution over fast refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and gameplay.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the Razer Blade 14 (2023) compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"After making a huge splash with the original 2021 model, it's expected that the 2022 refresh would be more of a minor update to an already impressive machine. It adds a higher resolution webcam (720p to 1080p), faster CPU (Ryzen 9 5900HX to Ryzen 9 6900HX), faster GPU (RTX 3070/3080 to 3070/3080 Ti), faster RAM (DDR4-3200 to DDR5-4800), faster M.2 SSD support (PCIe3 x4 to PCIe4 x4), newer WLAN module (Killer AX1690i to Qualcomm WCN685x), and a MUX switch for the new integrated Radeon 680M GPU. It's indubitably an upgrade especially in terms of single-thread processor performance."
