The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a budget-friendly option with modest performance, suitable for general use, and offers better battery life, making it a good choice for everyday tasks and portability. On the other hand, the MSI Vector GP76, being in the upper midrange price category, delivers significantly higher performance, with a more powerful CPU, GPU, and larger RAM and storage, making it better for intensive gaming, engineering, and 3D/machine learning tasks, but it comes with a tradeoff of being heavier and having a shorter battery life, which impacts its portability. The MSI Vector GP76 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"The MSI Vector GP76 12UGS is a gaming laptop on speed. The advantages are clear: The Vector GP76 is a real gamer with its 360 Hz display and super-fast response times. In addition, the Core i7-12700H has double the power of the CPU in its predecessor and another highlight is the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti with a real power consumption of 150 watts. This places the device in the top range of our database. The Vector can also operate rather quietly, offers a full sound range, improved battery runtimes, a key-configurable RGB keyboard, a very stable chassis and good upgrade options. Moreover, the display produces a nice, rich and clear picture."
