When considering the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the MSI Stealth 14 Studio, think about how you plan to use the laptop. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option for everyday tasks like browsing the internet, using office applications, and streaming, the Lenovo could serve you well. However, if you need higher performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, gaming, or engineering software, the MSI offers more power, which often comes with a higher price. The MSI may also have a shorter battery life due to its powerful components. Additionally, the MSI is likely to be more portable given its 'Stealth' branding, which suggests a slim and light design, but keep in mind that high-end laptops are typically heavier than basic models like the Lenovo Slim 3. The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is only fair.
The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is very good for engineering and design use due to its superior main processor, double the RAM, and a more powerful GPU, all of which contribute to better performance in resource-intensive tasks; it also has a higher quality screen in terms of resolution and color accuracy. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is considered just fair in this regard due to its less powerful CPU and GPU, half the memory, and lower screen qualities, meaning it may struggle with demanding engineering software and detailed design work.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the MSI Stealth 14 Studio compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"You'll find a versatility in the MSI Stealth 14 Studio that isn’t matched by many content-creator laptops we've tested of late. The small frame allows you to (potentially) work from anywhere with an outlet and, if noise isn’t a concern, run your most demanding of programs, thanks to some powerful hardware inside. The MSI Stealth 14 Studio is an attractive and powerful option if you want a portable laptop to be the center of your content work setup."
