The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, being less expensive and lighter, offers good value for general use such as web browsing and document editing, with moderate battery life. The MSI Raider GE76, on the other hand, is more expensive but provides high performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, with a more vibrant, larger display, better speakers, and excellent build quality. However, it is heavier and less portable, with reduced battery life, making it less convenient for on-the-go use. Choose the Lenovo for casual, cost-effective computing or the MSI for demanding tasks and more immersive entertainment experiences. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 offers modest CPU and RAM which is sufficient for standard tasks, and its light weight and fair battery life make it a decent option for everyday portability. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE76 comes with a high-powered CPU and abundant RAM, plus a superior screen and graphics card, making it very suitable for demanding applications, although it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which makes it less portable.

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, with its AMD Ryzen 3 processor and Vega 6 graphics, has moderate performance capabilities and a standard screen, making it fair for engineering and design, but its lighter weight and better battery life lend it better portability. On the other hand, the MSI Raider GE76 boasts a more powerful Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPU, paired with a high-resolution screen which justifies its excellence in engineering and design work, but these features contribute to its increased weight, reducing its portability.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 provides satisfactory visuals for tasks like web browsing and document editing, with its resolution and brightness being adequate for these purposes, but might lack the advanced color range engineers and designers need. The MSI Raider GE76 offers a vibrant display that appeals to engineers and designers due to its wide color gamut, alongside a sharp resolution and higher brightness that enhances general use. However, despite their respective strengths, both fall short for 3D applications and gaming as they don't offer the high refresh rates needed for the smoothest visual experience.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
