If you prioritize battery life and portability for general use, and prefer a more budget-friendly option, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is suitable as it is lighter and offers a longer-lasting battery. However, if you are into intensive engineering tasks, 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, and are willing to invest more for higher performance, the MSI Raider GE67Hx, with its more powerful processor, graphics card, and additional RAM, will handle these demands much better, although it is heavier and has shorter battery life. The MSI also has a better quality display, but the Lenovo offers a touchscreen which the MSI lacks. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE67Hx is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is poor.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is fair for gaming and 3D applications due to its modest AMD Vega 6 graphics and a screen refresh rate of 60Hz, which can handle some gaming but isn't ideal for fast-paced or graphically intensive games. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE67Hx is very good for gaming and 3D because it boasts a high-performance Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU and a screen refresh rate of 240Hz, offering much smoother and more detailed visuals for a superior gaming experience.

The MSI Raider GE67Hx has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 provides adequate resolution, panel type, and brightness, making the screen clear and comfortable to read but it may lack the vibrancy and sharpness of higher-end displays. The MSI Raider GE67Hx offers a superior display with high resolution and brightness, ensuring crisp and vivid images, alongside a premium panel that enhances the viewing experience whether you're browsing the web or watching videos. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial, both laptops fall short on refresh rates, making them less suitable for fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering where screen fluidity is key.

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"If you've wanted to dip your toes into PC gaming but can't let go of your console roots, the MSI Raider GE67 HX stakes out an attractive middle ground between the speed and versatility of PC gaming and the comfort and ease of a console. If you can overlook its noisy fans and chintzy touchpad, the Raider provides a powerhouse entertainment experience with an OLED screen that tops most household TVs. It's not cheap, but this gaming machine is more than the sum of its parts."
