The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a more budget-friendly option and provides good battery life with respectable performance for general use, featuring AMD integrated graphics which are fine for everyday tasks but not suited for intensive gaming or 3D tasks. It's lightweight and has a backlit keyboard, making it a good portable choice for basic tasks and productivity work. The MSI Cyborg 15, however, is more expensive but offers significantly higher performance with its Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia RTX graphics, which are well-suited for gaming, engineering, and 3D work; it also includes a high-refresh-rate screen for smoother visuals. It's heavier, though, with a slightly lower battery life, making it less portable but a better fit for more demanding applications. Give Feedback

The MSI Cyborg 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the MSI Cyborg 15 offer screens that are adequately bright and clear, but they may not stand out for sharpness or color due to average resolution and panel type. When it comes to engineering and design, both laptops provide sufficient color accuracy for casual work, but professionals requiring precise color representation may find them lacking in coverage of professional color gamuts. Gamers and those into 3D applications will find the refresh rate on both models to be lower than ideal, which could result in less fluid motion and responsiveness during high-speed visuals.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
