The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is less expensive and offers a decent display size with a touchscreen, ample storage, and good battery life, suitable for general use and day-to-day tasks. However, if you prefer a laptop with a larger, higher-resolution screen, significantly better performance for engineering tasks, and a longer battery life, the LG Gram 16 might be worth the extra cost, though it may not be as budget-friendly. The LG Gram 16 also has better build quality and a lighter weight, which enhances its portability, making it a good fit for those who are often on the move. Give Feedback

The LG Gram 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 offers a screen that is suitable for everyday tasks due to its adequate resolution and brightness, but it may not deliver the sharpness and clarity needed for precise engineering work or the vibrant, true-to-life colors professionals require. On the other hand, the LG Gram 16 provides a higher quality display with better resolution and brightness, making it more appropriate for detailed design and engineering tasks, as its color accuracy and wider gamut coverage ensure more precise and consistent colors. However, neither laptop is ideal for gaming or 3D applications since they lack high refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth visuals and a responsive gaming experience.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 and the LG Gram 16 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
"The LG Gram 16 is a lightweight device with stability issues. The LG Gram 16Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P is made with portability in mind and places less of a focus on users with high demands on performance. The compact and light chassis is particularly practical when you are on the go. The device is not only comfortably small and lightweight, it also boasts a great battery life. When connected to mains, on the other hand, the 16-inch device is rather disappointing. The standard cooling mode causes extreme volatility in terms of CPU, SSD and iGPU performance. The meager stability of the chassis may also put off some potential buyers."
