The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is less expensive and lighter, offering notable savings and easier portability. It's suitable for general use and moderate engineering tasks with a decent performance from its processor and graphics unit. However, its screen size and battery life are modest, and it may not handle very intensive gaming or 3D/machine learning applications as smoothly as more robust laptops.
In contrast, the MSI Raider GE76 is pricier with a significantly more powerful graphics card and processor, more memory, and a larger SSD for storage, making it excellent for intensive gaming, engineering software, and 3D/machine learning. It also has a larger, brighter display at a greater refresh rate, which is ideal for fast motion and color-critical work, but it is heavier and less portable. Both come with Windows 11 Home and have similar build qualities and battery life, making your decision hinge on performance needs versus portability and cost. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i offers a balance of portability and power with a lightweight build and a high-resolution display, making it suitable for everyday tasks and some heavier applications, while the MSI Raider GE76, with its larger screen, superior graphics, and more RAM, excels in more demanding situations but sacrifices portability and has a shorter battery life. Both laptops have quality IPS displays and ample processing power, but the Raider GE76's higher-end components and larger size make it less ideal for on-the-go usage compared to the more compact and lighter IdeaPad Pro 5i.

The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is good.
The MSI Raider GE76 outshines the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i in gaming and 3D tasks, mainly because it has a significantly more powerful GPU and a higher screen refresh rate, which are crucial for these applications. Although the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is commendable, its GPU and screen refresh rate are lower, which means it may not handle highly demanding games and 3D graphics as well as the MSI laptop.

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is very good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is well-suited for engineering and design tasks with its capable processor, quality screen, and dedicated graphics card, but the MSI Raider GE76 excels due to its more powerful graphics unit, double the memory, and a processor that's exceptionally fit for such demanding tasks. However, while the MSI Raider GE76 offers top-tier performance, it is less portable and louder under load compared to the somewhat more compact and quieter IdeaPad Pro 5i.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i and MSI Raider GE76 offer pleasing visuals due to their high-resolution displays and brightness, making text sharp and content vibrant. In engineering and design, both laptops display a wide range of colors accurately, which is essential for professional color work, but the MSI might have a slight edge if it covers more of the professional color spaces. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D tasks because they lack high refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and a responsive experience in fast-paced visuals and interactive applications.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
