If you're on a budget, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 with a less powerful graphics card may appeal for cost savings, though it has a shorter battery life and is slightly heavier. Conversely, the MSI Katana 15, while more expensive, offers stronger gaming and engineering performance due to a more advanced graphics card, more memory, and larger storage, but with reduced battery life and slightly less portability. The Lenovo has a better battery life for typical use. Both have similar screen sizes and resolutions, but the MSI's screen has a higher refresh rate suitable for fast-paced games. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 has a better screen than the MSI Katana 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 offers a bright display and high resolution which are essential for clarity and detail in general use and engineering tasks, while its color coverage meets the requirements for professional design work. However, its lower refresh rate limits the smoothness needed in fast-paced gaming and 3D applications where motion clarity is paramount. How the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 and the MSI Katana 15 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is one of the most powerful RTX 3050 Ti laptops. If you disregard the mediocre quality of the case in terms of the material and workmanship, Lenovo has created a successful budget gaming laptop with the IdeaPad Gaming. Thanks to high TDPs and constant performance development, the Core i5-12500H and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti are able to show their full power, while in contrast, the (mostly slower) competitors deliver a better battery life. However, hardly any of the alternative laptops are able to reach the image quality of the Gaming 3. Most of the competitors are left behind in terms of the color space and brightness."
"The MSI Katana 15 B12 combines a Gen12 CPU with an RTX 4050, which is actually not a bad idea for a budget gamer. The CPU is anything but bad and the GPU in the Katana 15 proves to be significantly more efficient than last year's models. However, our main point of criticism for budget gamers is the price: while you can get budget laptops with RTX 3060 from around US$800, you pay a whole US$1,499.99 here! The efficiency advantages of the RTX 4050 do not justify this price premium."
