When choosing between the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" and the ThinkBook 13x, consider that the IdeaPad typically offers a larger screen and a lower price, making it suitable for basic tasks and those who prefer a bigger display without much mobility. On the other hand, the ThinkBook 13x usually provides better performance and portability, ideal for business professionals and users who work on more demanding applications or need a laptop for travel. The ThinkBook may also have a longer battery life, making it more convenient for on-the-go use without frequent charging. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both good for general use, though the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is somewhat better.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers a larger screen and generally more comfortable viewing experience, making it suitable for everyday tasks, but its larger size may reduce portability and battery life compared to the more compact and travel-friendly Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, which also typically has a higher-quality CPU and RAM that can handle demanding applications more efficiently, making it a solid choice for general use especially when on the move. Both models have adequate storage, good keyboards, and manage heat and operating noise well, but the ThinkBook 13x may have an edge in speaker quality.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, with a higher-quality CPU, greater RAM, and a more capable GPU, offers a smoother experience for demanding engineering software and delivers sharper visuals, essential for precision tasks. While the IdeaPad 3 17" has a larger screen, making multitasking easier, its lower-tier components mean it may struggle with more intensive engineering applications, but its larger size and potentially more comfortable keyboard are tradeoffs against the ThinkBook 13x's superior portability.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
