The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is less expensive and offers a large 17.3-inch display for a comfortable viewing experience, suitable for general use with adequate performance for everyday tasks, and has a decent battery life. It's less portable due to its size and weight, suitable if you don't move around much. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is more expensive but provides better performance, especially for engineering and 3D/machine learning tasks, thanks to its higher RAM and better processor. It's also more portable, with a higher resolution touchscreen, superior build quality, and longer battery life, making it a high-quality professional option for on-the-go use. Give Feedback

The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both good for general use, though the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is somewhat better.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is appreciated for general use due to its larger screen and robust AMD CPU, catering to users who prioritize visual space and solid processing power without a need for extreme portability or extended battery life. On the other hand, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is favored for its superior portability, high-resolution touchscreen, and more powerful Intel CPU and RAM, making it ideal for on-the-go users who require a blend of performance and versatility, even if it means investing in a higher price point.

The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo is good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3, with its fair processing power and integrated graphics, satisfies basic engineering and design tasks but may not handle more demanding applications smoothly, and while the screen is large, its quality doesn't match higher-end displays. In contrast, the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo offers superior CPU and GPU performance for complex engineering software, double the RAM for multitasking, and a higher resolution screen with better color accuracy, making it more suitable for precision work, though it is less portable and has a smaller screen.

The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers a larger screen which is beneficial for multitasking and viewing detailed work, but it may have limitations in brightness and color accuracy which are less crucial for general use or engineering tasks but can diminish the experience for gaming and 3D work. The MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo, while having a smaller display, likely boasts higher brightness and better color precision, making it excellent for both general use and professional design tasks that rely on color fidelity. However, despite their respective strengths, neither laptop is tailored for gaming or 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which can result in less fluid motion and responsiveness during fast-paced scenes.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" and the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
"The MSI Summit E14 Flip convertible review: a legit alternative to HP, Dell or Lenovo. Instead of taking the 13-inch Summit E13 Flip and simply enlarging it for a 14-inch form factor, the Summit E14 Flip is the full chassis redesign we've been looking for. It loses some of the golden trims of its smaller sibling, but the gains in rigidity and build quality are arguably worth it especially from a professional standpoint where reliability takes priority. It doesn't quite feel as strong as the HP Spectre just yet, but it's certainly getting close."
