If you prioritize affordability and a larger screen for easier viewing and multitasking, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" could be a suitable choice. However, keep in mind that its larger size may reduce portability and it may not offer the same level of performance as the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, which is higher-priced but known for more powerful specifications that are suitable for demanding tasks and increased portability due to its smaller size and possibly longer battery life. If your work involves resource-intensive applications or you often travel and need a lightweight laptop, the MSI could be worth the extra cost. Give Feedback

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is very good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is good.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3's larger screen and adequate RAM make it suitable for everyday tasks and media consumption, but it's less portable due to its size and typically has a shorter battery life, which could be inconvenient for on-the-go users. On the other hand, the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, with its high-quality CPU, more compact design, and longer battery life, offers a more mobile experience and better performance for demanding applications, though it may come at a higher cost.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is somewhat better.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers a large screen but lacks a high refresh rate and powerful GPU, making it less suitable for high-end gaming and 3D applications; meanwhile, the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, while more portable and having a better CPU, also doesn't provide the top-tier GPU and refresh rates needed for optimal gaming and 3D performance. Both laptops offer decent screen quality but are more aligned with everyday use rather than specialized high-performance tasks.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3, while adequate, may not handle complex engineering tasks as smoothly due to less powerful CPU, GPU, and lower RAM compared to the MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, which boasts higher specs that are vital for such demands. Additionally, the MSI has superior screen quality for better visuals, but the Lenovo offers a larger screen, which could enhance productivity, albeit at the cost of reduced portability and potential compromises in keyboard and speaker quality.

The MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 has a large 17" display that offers plenty of workspace and solid resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks and detailed engineering work, despite a lower color range which might not fully satisfy professional designers. The MSI Prestige 13, although smaller, boasts a high-resolution, bright screen with wider color gamut, ensuring precise color representation crucial for professionals in design and engineering. However, both laptops lack high refresh rates, which are vital for smooth visuals in gaming and 3D rendering, making them less ideal for those specific activities.

"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
