For a balance of performance and portability with a high-quality display suitable for a variety of tasks, including light gaming and creative work, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is a strong choice. It offers a vibrant Mini LED screen with touch capability, superior color accuracy, and a higher resolution, which is excellent for detailed visual work. The included Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU provides better graphics performance than the integrated Vega 7 in the IdeaPad. Additionally, the Yoga Pro 9i's sleek design, premium build quality, and robust performance with its Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and 16GB of RAM make it a versatile option for professionals and power users. However, it comes at a higher price point.
On the other hand, if budget is a primary concern and you require a larger screen with decent general performance, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is a more economical option. It's equipped with a capable AMD Ryzen 5 5625U processor and 8GB of RAM, which will handle everyday tasks well. The 17.3-inch IPS display is suitable for general use, though it lacks touch functionality and has a lower pixel density compared to the Yoga Pro 9i. The IdeaPad 3's larger size and weight make it less portable, but it could be a good fit for someone who primarily uses their laptop at a desk and doesn't need advanced graphics capabilities. "The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
