Considering your preferences, if you value a larger screen and a more budget-friendly option, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is suitable, though it has a heavier and bulkier build compared to the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro. On the other hand, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro offers a higher-resolution display with touchscreen capability, better portability due to its lighter weight, and superior performance for more demanding tasks like engineering and 3D work thanks to its higher processing power and more RAM. The battery life of both models is comparable, but for intensive gaming, neither laptop is ideal. Generally, for everyday tasks like web browsing and document editing, both will serve well, but if you lean towards professional or creative work, the Slim 7i Pro is the better choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" and Slim 7i Pro offer high resolution and brightness, making them suitable for general use with clear and vivid displays, while wider color gamuts on the Slim 7i Pro benefit engineering and design tasks with more accurate color reproduction. However, neither is ideal for gaming or 3D work due to lower refresh rates, which can result in less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios. Additionally, the larger screen size of the IdeaPad 3 provides a more expansive workspace, which can be beneficial for multitasking and productivity, yet may compromise portability compared to the Slim 7i Pro.

How the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
