The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the Lenovo Flex 5 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Lenovo Flex 5 14 offers a fair viewing experience for everyday tasks with adequate resolution and brightness, but its color range may not be expansive enough for high-precision work in engineering and design. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, on the other hand, boasts a better resolution and wider color gamut, making it suitable for detailed design work where accurate color representation is crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which can affect the smoothness of fast-paced visuals.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro and Lenovo Flex 5 14 are both good for engineering and design.
The Lenovo Flex 5 14, with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Vega 8 GPU, offers strong performance for engineering tasks and an IPS screen with good viewing angles, but a lower resolution and color space coverage compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, which features a high-resolution display with better color accuracy provided by its Intel Iris Xe graphics, making it more suitable for design work where display quality is paramount. How the Lenovo Flex 5 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
