The Lenovo Flex 5 14 offers a convertible design with a touchscreen, making it versatile for general use and media consumption but carries slightly more weight compared to the IdeaPad. It is generally pricier yet provides double the storage and similar performance for tasks like 3D rendering and engineering use. It is equipped with an AMD processor and integrated graphics, suitable for lighter gaming and general tasks but not high-end gaming. The IdeaPad Slim 5i is more cost-effective, lighter, and comes with an Intel processor and integrated graphics, making for good everyday use and light productivity tasks but it lacks a touchscreen and has half the storage of the Flex 5 14. The IdeaPad also has a larger screen, but both have the same resolution and panel type. Consider the Flex 5 14 if you want a touchscreen and more storage, or the IdeaPad Slim 5i if you prefer a larger screen and lower cost. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Flex 5 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i have similar screen quality.
The Lenovo Flex 5 14 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i both have screens that meet the basic needs for everyday tasks with their adequate resolution and brightness, providing a comfortable viewing experience for general use. However, professionals in engineering and design may find the color accuracy and range lacking due to limited DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB coverage, which is essential for precise color work. For gaming and 3D applications, their lower refresh rates might lead to less smooth visuals, and mid-tier panel types and resolutions don't provide the top-tier clarity and fluidity that demanding multimedia tasks require.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i and Lenovo Flex 5 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Lenovo Flex 5 14 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i are fair for gaming and 3D applications due to their integrated GPUs—the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U Vega 8 and Intel i5-1335U Iris Xe, respectively. While these GPUs are capable of handling some gaming and 3D tasks, they are not as powerful as dedicated gaming GPUs, and both laptops have standard screen refresh rates which may limit the smoothness in gaming scenarios.

How the Lenovo Flex 5 14 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i compare to other laptops
"The highlight of the latest IdeaPad Flex 5 14 is clearly its AMD CPU. The octa-core Ryzen 7 5700U is insanely fast even when compared to the best Tiger Lake Ultrabooks in the market or even Core H CPUs in many gaming laptops. It's a lot of raw processing power for what is supposed to be a budget 14-inch convertible. If your daily workloads can benefit from extra multi-thread CPU performance, then look no further than the inexpensive AMD-powered Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14. For regular on-the-road browsing or video streaming, however, a slimmer and lighter 10th gen Core Yoga, Spectre, or XPS would be a more balanced option."
"The device is made for average work loads and if your work has a lot to do with online browsing, using apps that are not power-hungry and streaming videos. The looks are really good and the device in itself is not a heavy one. And with Intel 11th-gen Core processor, you might sail through most of your work without complaints."
