When considering the HP Spectre x360 14 and the LG Gram 17, think about how important screen size and portability are to you. The LG Gram 17 has a larger display, which is great for productivity and entertainment but can be bulkier to carry around. The HP Spectre, on the other hand, is more compact and offers a 2-in-1 feature that allows for use as a tablet, which can be valuable for presentations or creative tasks. If battery life is crucial, the LG Gram typically excels in this area. For performance, they're both solid, but your choice may hinge on whether you prioritize a larger work area or versatility and portability. Give Feedback

The HP Spectre x360 14 has a better screen than the LG Gram 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
When considering screen attributes, the HP Spectre x360 14 excels in clarity and color representation, making its very good screen well-suited for tasks like document editing and professional design work, where its high resolution and broad color gamuts show their strengths. The LG Gram 17, despite having a lower resolution, still provides a good visual experience for daily tasks and design projects due to its decent color accuracy and larger screen, although it doesn't reach the same levels of vibrancy and sharpness as the Spectre. However, both fall short for gaming and 3D work where a high refresh rate significantly benefits smooth motion; their standard refresh rates aren’t designed for the fast-paced visuals expected in those areas.

The HP Spectre x360 14 and LG Gram 17 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The HP Spectre x360 14 offers a versatile 2-in-1 design with a touch screen that's good for everyday tasks and light gaming, but its graphics processing unit (GPU) and standard screen refresh rate may not deliver the high-end gaming or 3D modeling performance enthusiasts seek. On the other hand, the LG Gram 17 provides a larger, higher-quality display which can enhance the visual experience and is also equipped with a fair GPU, but similar to the Spectre, its capabilities for demanding gaming or 3D tasks are limited due to a standard refresh rate and less powerful GPU compared to dedicated gaming laptops.

How the HP Spectre x360 14 and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
