The HP Pavilion 15 offers a solid choice if you're on a budget, mainly for general use or tasks that don't require high computing power. Due to its lower cost, it provides good value, especially if you prioritize basic functionality and affordability. However, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, while more expensive, delivers better performance, more suitable for people who need additional power for activities like 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming. It also boasts a higher resolution and better-quality display, advantageous for design or media-related work, and it's lighter and slimmer, enhancing portability. Balancing these factors against your needs and budget will guide your decision. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen than the HP Pavilion 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The HP Pavilion 15's screen may not provide clear visuals and vibrant colors that are essential for an appealing viewing experience in general use, likely due to modest resolution and brightness. For engineering and design tasks, its display probably doesn't cover a wide range of colors, making it less suitable for work that requires color accuracy. When gaming or engaging in 3D modeling, the screen's likely lower refresh rate can result in less fluid motion and reduced responsiveness, which can detract from the immersive experience and precision needed for these activities.

How the HP Pavilion 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
