When considering the HP Omen Transcend 14 versus the Lenovo Legion 5, expect to invest more for the HP if you value a more compact and potentially higher-end build, which can be great for carrying around, but it may also come with a higher price tag. The Lenovo Legion 5, on the other side, generally offers solid performance at a more budget-friendly cost and may have a larger screen, which is a plus for immersive gaming and productivity tasks, but it tends to be bulkier, affecting its portability. The HP Omen Transcend 14 has a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and ample brightness, which makes it great for general use and detail-oriented tasks like engineering, but its lower refresh rate makes fast-paced gaming and 3D rendering less smooth. The Lenovo Legion 5 15" also offers a high-resolution and clear display for general use and design work but falls behind the HP in color accuracy, impacting professional design work. For gaming and 3D, both laptops are less optimal due to their lower refresh rates, which are important for ensuring fluid motion and reducing motion blur in fast-moving visuals.

How the HP Omen Transcend 14 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
