The HP Omen Transcend 14, although pricier, offers superior performance for gaming and demanding engineering software, along with higher build quality and better graphics. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" provides a larger screen and is more budget-friendly, which is ideal for general use and tasks that benefit from a bigger display, but it falls short in processing power and graphics compared to the HP, making it less suitable for intensive tasks. If you prioritize a blend of performance for specialized tasks and are willing to invest, choose the HP; if you prefer a larger screen and a more economical option for everyday tasks, the Lenovo would be appropriate. The HP Omen Transcend 14 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you value screen clarity and detail for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos, the HP Omen Transcend 14's higher resolution and superior brightness offer an enhanced viewing experience compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad 3's simpler display. "The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
