The HP Omen 17 is less expensive and offers high gaming performance with a powerful GPU and CPU, extensive color coverage on its display, and a larger screen suitable for immersive gaming and engineering tasks, but it's heavier and less portable. The MSI Summit E16 Flip is more expensive, has a touchscreen with a higher pixel density and 16:10 aspect ratio, making it better for productivity and creative tasks. Its portability and battery life for typical use are superior to the Omen, but it has a less powerful GPU, suitable for light gaming and less demanding engineering software. Choose the Omen for gaming or engineering-focused use, and the Summit E16 Flip for flexibility and portability in general use and business applications. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | September 2022
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."

NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | October 2022
"The MSI Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop with pen, 16:10 display, and RTX 3050 Ti. The Summit E16 Flip is a 2-in-1 laptop from the business segment that primarily targets creative users. MSI combines a 16-inch touchscreen in the 16:10 format with a powerful midrange GPU. While the 2-in-1 laptop from MSI isn't meant for everybody, it should definitely attract some followers. The touchscreen display (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) covers the DCI-P3 color space. This is accompanied by stable viewing angles, a good color reproduction, short response times, and a good contrast level."
