When considering the HP Omen 17 versus the Lenovo ThinkPad X13, think about your primary use. The HP Omen 17 offers higher performance for gaming or intensive tasks due to its powerful graphics and processing capabilities, but it is less portable and typically has a shorter battery life than the X13. Alternatively, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 is more affordable, highly portable, and offers longer battery life, making it great for business or general use. However, it may not handle demanding applications as well as the Omen 17. Consider how these factors align with your needs and whether the extra cost of the Omen 17 justifies its performance benefits for your specific situation. Give Feedback

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 is very good for general use, while the HP Omen 17 is good.
The HP Omen 17, with its powerful CPU and ample RAM, excels in screen quality for vivid displays but is less portable and has a shorter battery life due to its gaming-oriented design, whereas the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 offers great CPU performance and sufficient RAM in a more compact form with longer battery life, making it suitable for on-the-go users who prioritize portability and endurance over larger screen size. The ThinkPad's focus on a balance of performance and mobility makes it highly usable for general tasks, while the Omen's emphasis on high-end graphics and processing power suits users needing more intensive capabilities, though with increased weight and reduced battery duration.

The HP Omen 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 has a better screen for content creation.
For general use, both the HP Omen 17 and Lenovo ThinkPad X13 offer high-resolution displays with ample brightness and tend to use panel types that provide clear, vibrant images, which makes for an enjoyable viewing experience for everyday tasks. In the context of engineering and design, these laptops have displays that cover a wide range of colors, essential for professionals who require accuracy for tasks like photo editing or CAD work. However, for gaming and 3D applications where fluid motion is key, the lower refresh rates on these laptops compared to specialized gaming laptops can result in less smooth visuals, which is not ideal for fast-paced games or detailed 3D modeling.

How the HP Omen 17 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 compare to other laptops
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."
"The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 G4 has very good input devices, a wide array of security features and ports as well as 5G in the tested configuration. It is more compact and lightweight compared with its predecessor, and it has improved speakers and a slightly better webcam. On the other hand, the fan is more annoying and the performance is barely improved. The battery is worse as well, but this is primarily attributable to the OLED screen - if this aspect is important, buyers should choose the IPS Low Power LCD."
