If you're considering performance and can invest more, the HP Omen 17 might be a better choice because it has a more powerful graphics card which is preferable for gaming or heavy graphic tasks. However, it is also larger and heavier, which affects portability. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" boasts a balance of cost and performance that suits everyday usage and moderate gaming, and its more compact size makes it easier to carry around. The HP's larger screen offers a better visual experience for games and media, while the Lenovo's smaller footprint makes it more practical for frequent travel or smaller workspaces. Choose the HP Omen 17 for top-tier performance or the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for a more budget-friendly, portable option. Give Feedback

Marc Herter | September 2022
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."

Andreas Osthoff | September 2021
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
