When choosing between the HP Omen 17 and the HP Spectre x360 14, consider the Omen if you need top-tier gaming or video editing performance, as it offers high processing power and dedicated graphics. However, it's bulky and less portable. The Spectre, on the other hand, is more versatile due to its 2-in-1 design and is lighter for everyday carry, suitable for general use, and offers better battery life but is not ideal for demanding tasks that require a dedicated GPU. If portability and long battery life are paramount and your tasks are not graphics-intensive, the Spectre may be the preferred option despite its higher price. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Marc Herter | September 2022
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."

LaptopMag

Rami Tabari | February 2024
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
