The HP Omen 16 is more expensive but offers high performance with a better graphics card, making it suitable for gaming, intensive engineering tasks, and 3D applications. Meanwhile, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is more affordable, lighter, and more portable with a higher resolution screen, better for everyday use and business applications. The Omen has a larger screen and a more powerful processor, but it's heavier, which may affect portability. The ThinkBook's battery is smaller, which could mean shorter battery life, but it's also more portable and cost-efficient. Consider the Omen if performance is a priority and you don't mind the extra weight and price, or the ThinkBook if you prefer something budget-friendly and portable for general use. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 16 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is only fair.
The HP Omen 16 delivers a superior gaming and 3D experience primarily because it has a more powerful graphics processor (GPU) and a higher screen refresh rate, which are crucial for smooth and detailed visuals in fast-paced games and rendering 3D applications. While the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s can handle less demanding gaming and 3D tasks, its GPU and refresh rate are less suited for intensive visual work, although it offers a balance of a decent CPU and good screen quality for everyday use.

The HP Omen 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is good.
The HP Omen 16 is considered very good for engineering and design use primarily due to its powerful Intel i7-13700HX CPU, Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, and a high-refresh-rate screen, which is beneficial for tasks that require substantial processing power and graphics rendering such as 3D modeling, whereas the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s, with its Intel i7-1260P CPU and integrated Iris Xe graphics, offers a balance between performance and portability with a lighter, thinner design and a higher resolution screen that may be preferred for less intensive engineering work and greater emphasis on carrying the laptop around.

The HP Omen 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s for gaming and AI.
The HP Omen 16 and Lenovo ThinkBook 13s both boast displays with resolutions and panel types that suffice for crisp visuals and color richness in everyday tasks, making them suitable for general use and engineering where color accuracy is valuable. However, they lack the high refresh rates sought after in Gaming and 3D applications, where screen fluidity is key to an immersive experience. Their screen qualities, while adequate for detail-oriented work in design fields due to decent coverage of professional color gamuts, do not cater to the swift frame changes necessary for smooth gameplay or 3D rendering.

How the HP Omen 16 and the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s compare to other laptops
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
