The HP Omen 16 is a solid choice for gaming or intensive engineering tasks due to its higher-spec graphics card, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. Alternatively, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is sleeker, lighter, and has a higher resolution screen, which is great for general use and mobility, but with a slightly less powerful graphics card, it is not as optimized for high-end gaming or demanding engineering applications, even though it's capable. The Lenovo also offers more storage and memory, which may be beneficial for multitasking and professional work, but expect to spend more. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | October 2021
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."

PCWorld

Matthew S. Smith | August 2023
"The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an impressive laptop with a brilliant Mini-LED display, a powerful 100-watt version of Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and excellent connectivity. Having run the Cinebench benchmark again, we were impressed with the CPU performance. That makes the Slim Pro 9i is an easy recommendation, especially for those who care about GPU and CPU performance. It’s also a fantastic choice if you frequently view HDR movies and games on your laptop."
