When choosing between the HP Omen 16 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16", consider the following: the HP Omen 16 typically offers a decent price-value ratio and a larger screen, though at a lower resolution than the Lenovo. It sports an Intel processor and a robust Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card, along with substantial battery size, favoring performance. However, it is heavier and thicker, suggesting less portability compared to the Slim 7. On the other hand, the Legion Slim 7 is often pricier, featuring an AMD processor, the same graphics card, but with a sharper and brighter display that has a higher resolution and refresh rate. Its higher battery capacity and slimmer, lighter design cater to those prioritizing portability and longer usage times. Assess your needs for display quality, battery life, portability, and price when making your decision. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Christian Hintze | October 2021
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."

NotebookCheck

Benjamin Herzig | November 2022
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
