The HP Omen 15 is a midrange-priced laptop with solid performance and a good balance between efficiency and gaming capabilities, boasting a respectable battery life for general use. It's more affordable, slightly lighter, and can handle a variety of tasks well, making it a versatile choice, though its gaming look might not appeal to everyone.
On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS77 comes at a premium price but offers a larger, higher-resolution screen, more memory for multitasking, and improved graphics performance with its better GPU. It also has additional features like Thunderbolt and USB-C charging, a larger battery, and better build quality, but it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. If you need a high-performance machine for intense 3D, machine learning, and engineering tasks, and don't mind the extra weight and cost, the MSI is a strong option. Give Feedback

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for general use, while the HP Omen 15 is good.
The MSI Stealth GS77 ranks higher for general use mainly due to its superior CPU and double the amount of RAM compared to the HP Omen 15, which boosts multitasking and performance. Despite its larger and better-quality screen, the Stealth's heavier build and shorter battery life reduce its portability when compared to the fairly portable Omen with longer battery life.

The MSI Stealth GS77 is very good for engineering and design, while the HP Omen 15 is good.
The MSI Stealth GS77 ranks higher for engineering and design use, mainly due to its superior processing power with an Intel i7 chip, increased RAM for handling complex tasks, and a more powerful GPU, the RTX 3070 Ti, which is better suited for demanding design applications. Additionally, its screen quality is better with a higher resolution and color accuracy than the HP Omen 15, which is crucial for precision in engineering visuals, even though this makes the MSI less portable and potentially louder during heavy use.

How the HP Omen 15 and the MSI Stealth GS77 compare to other laptops
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
