The HP Omen 15 is the better choice for intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D work, or machine learning because it has a stronger processor and graphics card. It also boasts a higher quality display with a faster refresh rate, which is important for smooth visuals in games and videos. However, this laptop is heavier, which might make it less convenient to carry around. It typically has a shorter battery life as well, so you'll need to recharge more often or stay close to a power outlet. In contrast, the HP Pavilion 15 is more affordable, lighter, and should have a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use with less demanding applications, although it may struggle with more resource-intensive tasks due to its less powerful hardware. NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | January 2021
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."

TechRadar

Alex Cox | August 2022
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
