The HP 250 G10 is a budget-friendly option with a lower price point, making it suitable for general use with basic tasks like web browsing and office applications. It's also lighter on features, with a lower resolution TN display that's not touch-enabled, and it uses a less powerful Intel N200 processor with integrated graphics, which won't handle demanding tasks well. Its battery life is decent for everyday use, and it's built with practicality in mind, offering good expandability with available RAM and storage slots. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 is a more premium device with a higher price tag, reflecting its advanced features. It boasts a high-resolution OLED touchscreen with vibrant colors and a high refresh rate, making it ideal for media consumption and tasks that benefit from a superior display. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and Adreno 750 GPU offer better performance for more demanding applications, including light gaming and creative work. It's also thinner and lighter, enhancing its portability, and includes modern conveniences like a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, and facial recognition. The Samsung has a longer battery life and better overall performance, especially for tasks that require a powerful GPU. However, it lacks some ports like HDMI and Thunderbolt, and it's not designed for hardware-intensive tasks like advanced engineering work or high-end gaming. In summary, if you need a basic, budget-friendly laptop for everyday tasks and value expandability, the HP 250 G10 is a sensible choice. But if you're looking for a more versatile, high-performance device with a superior display and longer battery life for media consumption, creative work, and general use, the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 is the better investment, provided you're willing to pay more for those premium features. Nikolay Palaozov | December 2023
"The HP 250 G10 is a decent budget device that surprises us with its high CPU frequencies under load. Still, our configuration has a Core i5-1335U which doesn’t require significant cooling, if choose a 28W P-series processor, maybe the situation with the clocks could be different. If you want to play some casual game after work, a memory in dual-channel is a must because it increases greatly the iGPU performance."
