The Gigabyte G5 offers stronger performance, particularly for gaming and intensive tasks with its dedicated Nvidia graphics, but at the expense of shorter battery life and higher weight which affects portability. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is lighter and has a larger screen for comfortable viewing and multitasking, along with better battery life which is ideal for general use or work on-the-go. It uses integrated AMD graphics, which are less powerful than the Gigabyte's. The decision hinges on whether performance and gaming capabilities are a priority over battery life and ease of carrying. The price difference should also be considered within your budget. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte G5 is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Gigabyte G5 outdoes the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" in gaming and 3D applications primarily because of its more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and its higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which can render fast-moving images more smoothly than the IdeaPad's 60Hz display. Conversely, the IdeaPad, with its integrated AMD Vega 7 graphics, offers adequate performance for less demanding gaming and 3D tasks but cannot match the Gigabyte G5's capabilities for more intense graphic tasks.

How the Gigabyte G5 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
