The Gigabyte G5 offers better performance for tasks like 3D, machine learning, and gaming, due to its more powerful processor and dedicated graphics card, which justifies its higher price. It's less portable with shorter battery life compared to the HP Pavilion 15, which is lighter and likely offers longer usage on a single charge. If your focus is on general use and portability, and you want to save money, the HP Pavilion 15 could be a better choice. If you need a laptop for intensive tasks and don't mind the additional expense and lower portability, then the Gigabyte G5 would be suitable. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam | April 2023
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."

TechRadar

Alex Cox | August 2022
"The HP Pavilion 15 carries a fair amount of power and a sharp display in its handsome slimline shell. It's not perfect, but it's a hard worker. This is wonderfully designed and totes a heck of a lot of desktop power, with the added benefit of a decent webcam and a full-sized keyboard. If you're getting down to business on a budget, it's a great fit."
