If you place a premium on performance for tasks like 3D work, machine learning, or gaming, you may lean towards the Gigabyte Aorus 7, which has a dedicated GPU for higher graphics performance. However, it's heavier and less portable with a shorter battery life. Conversely, if portability and battery life are higher on your list, and you're focused on general use or even light engineering tasks, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro is lighter with longer battery life, but lacks a dedicated GPU, which limits its capabilities for more graphics-intensive applications. The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro for gaming and AI, and content creation, while the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro has a better screen for engineering and design.
For general use, a laptop with a high-resolution, bright display, like the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, ensures crisp text and vibrant images, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 offers similar benefits but may not be as bright. For engineering and design, the Lenovo's wider color gamuts provide more accurate color representation, which is crucial for detail-oriented work, while the Gigabyte's adequate gamut coverage may suffice for less demanding tasks. For gaming and 3D, however, the lower refresh rate of both the Gigabyte and Lenovo displays may result in less fluid motion compared to laptops designed specifically for gaming with higher refresh rates.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 7 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
