If you're looking for top performance in gaming or intensive tasks, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 will serve you well but at a higher cost. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is more wallet-friendly and suitable for general use or light tasks. The Aorus often has superior graphics and processing power, which can impact battery life, and it can be heavier, making it less convenient for travel. The IdeaPad is more practical for everyday tasks, offers a larger screen, and is more portable, but it won't handle demanding software as effectively as the Aorus. Choose based on your primary needs and your budget. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 outperforms the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 for gaming and 3D tasks primarily because it has a powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a high screen refresh rate of 360 Hz, which is crucial for smooth, responsive gameplay. In contrast, the IdeaPad 3 uses an integrated AMD Ryzen 5 5625U Vega 7 graphics and has a lower screen refresh rate of 60 Hz, resulting in less fluid graphics and potentially slower response times in demanding gaming and 3D applications.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7 provides a sharp and bright display making it suitable for general tasks, while its ability to represent a wide range of colors benefits users in engineering and design who need accuracy. However, its lower refresh rate makes it less ideal for gaming and 3D applications, where fluid motion is key. Conversely, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers a clear and vibrant screen appropriate for everyday use and professional design work, but, like the Aorus 7, it is less optimal for gaming and 3D due to a refresh rate that doesn't match the fast-paced visual requirements of those fields.

The Gigabyte Aorus 7 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" are both good for general use.
The Gigabyte Aorus 7, with a high-performance CPU, more RAM, and a superior graphics card, excels at demanding tasks but is less portable and has shorter battery life, making it less suitable for on-the-go use than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3, which offers ample screen size and resolution, and a better battery life, at the cost of less processing power and lower screen brightness which affects how good the display looks.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 7 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
