The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and MSI Cyborg 15 are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is equipped with a high-end CPU, larger RAM, and a superior GPU, which makes it more suitable for demanding tasks, but with limited portability due to its size and shorter battery life. In contrast, the MSI Cyborg 15 offers better portability with its lighter weight and longer battery life but comes with a less powerful CPU, smaller RAM, and lower-end GPU, which may make it less suited for intensive applications, despite having a good screen for general use.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Cyborg 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H outshines the MSI Cyborg 15 in engineering and design use due to its more powerful CPU, double the RAM, and superior GPU, which translate to better performance in resource-intensive tasks, along with a higher quality display offering better brightness and color accuracy. While the Cyborg 15 is more portable and quieter, it is less suitable for demanding engineering software and design work that relies on high processing power and detailed visual representation.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the MSI Cyborg 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H excels due to its higher resolution and brightness, delivering a sharper and more vibrant viewing experience compared to the MSI Cyborg 15's fair performance, where the lesser brightness and resolution can impact everyday activities such as browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, the Aorus benefits greatly from its wide color gamuts, offering more accurate color representation crucial for these fields, whereas the Cyborg's color range is adequate but not as precise for professional color work. Regarding gaming and 3D, the Aorus' lower refresh rate hampers smooth motion rendering, which is less satisfactory for fast-paced visuals, while the MSI Cyborg 15, despite its fair resolution and panel type, also falls behind due to a similar limitation in refresh rate critical for these applications.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
