If performance is a priority, especially for 3D modeling, machine learning, or gaming, and you are willing to pay more and cope with less portability, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H could be the right choice for you as it has a stronger GPU and CPU, along with a higher refresh rate display for smoother visuals. However, if you prefer a laptop that is more affordable, significantly lighter, and with an exceptionally longer battery life for general use, as well as portability, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 would be a better option, though at the expense of less performance for demanding tasks and gaming. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design due to its robust CPU and GPU that excel in processing power, supported by ample RAM and high screen refresh rate, although it is less portable due to its larger size and weight. In contrast, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13, while also good for engineering and design with a capable CPU and integrated graphics, superior portability, touchscreen, and a high-resolution screen, it may not handle highly intensive tasks as smoothly as the Aorus 17H due to its less powerful GPU.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H boasts a vibrant display with high resolution and brightness, making it excellent for everyday tasks and detail-oriented work in engineering and design due to its accurate color reproduction. However, its lower refresh rate compromises the smooth visuals critical for high-paced gaming and 3D applications. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 similarly offers a sharp, bright screen with faithful color representation suitable for both general and professional design works, but like the Aorus, it falls short in gaming and 3D contexts because of a refresh rate that doesn't cater to the fluidity these tasks demand.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"In the premium ultraportable space, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 competes with the best of the best, and still manages to shine. The design is an impressive departure from the bland bare-metal laptop that's become so popular in recent years, and the AMD-powered system has performance that's just as impressive. It's a stark alternative to the Intel-based majority, and it stands up well enough to the impressive Apple M2 processor."
