The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is at a premium price point with a larger screen and more powerful graphics card, making it well suited for intensive gaming and engineering tasks, but it's heavier, which impacts portability. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a midrange price, excellent portability due to less weight, and a higher-resolution display, suitable for both gaming and general use without compromising on performance, and offers better value for money if you're looking for a balance between performance and portability. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" offer crisp images and bright displays due to their high resolution and panel quality, ensuring enjoyable everyday activities such as browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, professionals will appreciate the wide color gamuts of both laptops, allowing for precise color work, although the Aorus might not be as vibrant as the Legion. However, gamers might find both lacking due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less fluid visuals in fast-paced games compared to laptops designed with gaming-grade screens.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
