The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers exceptional performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks, but it comes at a premium price and is less portable due to its size and weight. Conversely, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i is more affordable, offers higher resolution and aspect ratio for better overall screen experience, and is lighter, making it more portable. It also boasts a longer battery life, which could be beneficial for general use without frequent charging. However, the Legion Slim 5i might not match the Aorus 17H in terms of sheer performance capabilities, especially for high-demand gaming or professional-level creative work. Decide based on the balance between performance needs and portability preferences, keeping in mind the budget constraints. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Lenovo Legion Slim 5i are both very good for engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H's powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and larger 17.3-inch screen, although less portable due to its size and weight, provide superior performance and screen real estate for engineering tasks compared to the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i's Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and smaller 16-inch, higher resolution display, which offers better portability and higher pixel density for sharp visuals. Both share the same CPU and RAM, ensuring strong processing and multitasking capabilities, but the Aorus 17H tips the scales for those prioritizing raw power and expansive workspace, while the Legion Slim 5i caters to users needing a balance between performance and mobility.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo Legion Slim 5i compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8 acknowledges that a gaming laptop doesn’t have to be as thick as possible and can still ensure adequate cooling when the muscles need flexing. To this end, in the Slim 5 Gen 8, it finds a neat balance of refined, trimmed-down design that still lets its internals cruise (even above their max power ratings). Lenovo then added in some high-end build quality with an altogether excellent keyboard that’s useful for both work and play."
