For top-tier performance in tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H excels with a superior GPU and CPU, more RAM, and storage. However, it's costlier, heavier, and has a shorter battery life. Merge that with a high refresh rate display, and it's ideal for demanding gaming and professional work but sacrifices portability. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3, while more budget-friendly, has respectable performance suitable for general use and moderate gaming. It offers a good balance with a lighter weight and longer battery life, making it a portable option for everyday tasks and light gaming, yet it has less power and a lower refresh rate screen. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you prioritize a clear and vibrant display for activities like browsing the web or working with documents, both the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 offer displays with the resolution and brightness suitable for everyday tasks. For engineering and design, where color accuracy is vital, these laptops provide decent color reproduction, making them suitable for professional work where precise color representation is needed. However, for gaming or working with 3D graphics, where fast-moving visuals require high refresh rates, both laptops may not provide the smoothest experience due to their lower refresh rates, which could affect the fluidity and responsiveness during gameplay or 3D rendering.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is one of the most powerful RTX 3050 Ti laptops. If you disregard the mediocre quality of the case in terms of the material and workmanship, Lenovo has created a successful budget gaming laptop with the IdeaPad Gaming. Thanks to high TDPs and constant performance development, the Core i5-12500H and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti are able to show their full power, while in contrast, the (mostly slower) competitors deliver a better battery life. However, hardly any of the alternative laptops are able to reach the image quality of the Gaming 3. Most of the competitors are left behind in terms of the color space and brightness."
