If you need a laptop primarily for high-end gaming, 3D modeling, or intensive engineering software, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H will deliver better performance, but it's more expensive and less portable due to its size and likely shorter battery life. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" is more affordable, easier to carry around, and has a longer battery life, which makes it suitable for general use like browsing, watching videos, and office tasks. If your work and entertainment don't require the highest specifications, the Lenovo might be the more economical and convenient choice. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is good for general use, while the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is considered good for general use because it has a more powerful CPU, double the RAM, a larger and higher quality screen, as well as better speaker quality, but is less portable with shorter battery life compared to the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14". The Lenovo, while fair for general use, excels in portability with a longer battery life and lighter frame, and although its CPU and screen quality are decent, it has less RAM and storage, meaning it might struggle with more demanding tasks and multitasking.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, a laptop with a brighter screen, higher resolution, and better panel type, such as an IPS panel, enhances viewing experience, which explains why the Gigabyte Aorus 17H outperforms the Lenovo IdeaPad 3. In engineering and design, accurate color representation is crucial; thus, screens with broader color gamuts, covering significant parts of DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB spectra, are preferred, which the Gigabyte may offer better than the Lenovo. However, for 3D and gaming, the Lenovo's lower refresh rate leads to less smooth visuals compared to a laptop designed for gaming, like the Gigabyte Aorus, but if it has a lower refresh rate, it would underperform in this use-case too.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14" compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The low-priced IdeaPad 3 14 delivers on core functionality. Lenovo's IdeaPad 3 14 meets all the basic requirements for an inexpensive office laptop. The matte IPS display is bright enough, the performance is high for the class, and the input devices are rock solid. In addition, the mostly quiet operation including the useful performance modes, cool surface temperatures, easy maintainability as well as expandable working and mass storage all contribute to the IdeaPad 3 14's value proposition."
