The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is a premium-priced laptop that is significantly more expensive than the HP Omen 17, which comes at a midrange price. Both laptops have similar memory and processing power, with the Gigabyte offering a higher refresh rate display but the HP Omen featuring a higher resolution screen. The Gigabyte also has a larger battery, but its weight is slightly less than the HP Omen. Both come with various high-performance features suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering work. However, due to its higher price, the Gigabyte might offer improvements in build quality and performance scores, while the HP Omen 17, with its better battery life score and higher portability score, might be better for those who need to move around with their laptop more frequently. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H stands out for gaming and 3D because of its exceptionally high screen refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth visuals in fast-paced games and detailed 3D applications, and its top-tier Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU that delivers strong graphics processing capabilities. Similarly, the HP Omen 17 also features the robust Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU ideal for demanding graphical tasks and a high-quality IPS display with a good refresh rate for gaming and 3D work, but it has a lower refresh rate compared to the Aorus 17H, which may affect motion clarity in fast-action scenes.

How the Gigabyte Aorus 17H and the HP Omen 17 compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."
