The Aorus 15X, while more expensive, offers greater storage, more RAM, a superior processor, and a more powerful graphics card, which make it better suited for intense engineering tasks, demanding gaming and 3D/machine learning applications. Its larger battery provides longer usage, but it's also heavier, which may impact portability. On the other hand, the G5 is more affordable with decent performance for general use and lighter gaming; however, it has less storage, RAM, and a less robust battery. Both feature similar screen sizes and types. Choose the Aorus 15X if performance is a priority and budget isn't a constraint; opt for the G5 for casual use and savings. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X and Gigabyte G5 are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 15X is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte Aorus 15X excels in general use due to its higher-end CPU, greater RAM, and superior screen quality, offering a more responsive experience and more vibrant visuals, which is complemented by its decent portability and battery life. In contrast, the Gigabyte G5, while still capable for general tasks, has a less powerful CPU, half the RAM, and a lower resolution screen, which may slow down multitasking and offer less detailed imagery, but it does benefit from greater portability due to its lighter weight.

The Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen than the Gigabyte G5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Aorus 15X's superior panel type and resolution offer vibrant and crisp imagery, making it suitable for everyday tasks and professional design work where detail and color accuracy are critical. Although it has a commendable color range for engineering and design applications, the Aorus 15X's lower refresh rate hinders its performance in fast-paced gaming and 3D rendering, which benefit from smoother motion. The Gigabyte G5, while offering consistent quality for day-to-day and productivity tasks, lacks in both higher color fidelity necessary for specialized design work and the rapid refresh rates desired for immersive gaming experiences.

"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
"The Gigabyte G5 KE is a midrange gaming laptop that checks most boxes. Gigabyte makes good use of the Core i5-12500H and RTX 3060 Laptop GPU combo, and we find no untoward issues with overall performance. The dual-fan quad-heatpipe cooling arrangement does well to ensure that the underlying hardware doesn't throttle under load. That being said, the display is below par when compared to 2023 standards, especially when competing devices."
